Sanctu[AR]y

Sanctu[AR]y is a collective art project that uses Augmented Reality to bring art to life right in your hands. It is inspired by Samsung AR doodles and Creators. Mr Doodle, a UK-based illustrator, collaborates with 16 creators in Bangkok, showcasing his doodling skills and the versatility of AR Doodle.

The creators collaborate to create doodle art celebrating 10 animals that are under threat, including tigers, elephants, and whale sharks. With the partnership of Samsung engineers, we collect the doodles and transform them into an AR gallery.
In the heart of Bangkok, an installation allows users to embark on the Samsung Sanctu[AR]y experience. It features a world-first hand recognition filter powered by Meta's Spark AR tech. The experience unfolds in the palm of your hand with 10 AR lenses for 10 animals.
After the experience, visitors receive a follow-up thank you message, including a face filter of one of the endangered animals. The filter disappears after a few seconds and is replaced with a message urging them not to let the real animals disappear as well.
